Being loved could be considered one of our most basic and fundamental needs. It can be argued that the level of happiness we feel is related to whether we feel loved and cared for.
There is also a need for us to love and care for others. It turns out that this need is just as strong. It is deep-seated within all of us because the fulfillment of this desire also enhances our happiness levels.
One of the greatest acts of worship we can commit to is to fulfil half our deen through a loving, nurturing and mercy-filled relationship.  Only then can our marriage become a vehicle to get us to Jannah, insha'Allah.
Isn't it important therefore to know how we like to be loved and show love to others? It turns out, there is a way to know!

"Give to your spouse what you seek in return"- Abdullah Ibn Abbas

For us to be able to receive love, we must be able to give it. If you and your spouse aren’t speaking the same love ‘language’ then many if not all of your efforts may be lost in translation.

We all speak a different language of love!
Dr. Gary Chapman explains how people convey love in five different 'language' categories: gifts, physical touch, quality time, acts of service, and words of affirmation.
The truth is that when couples are able to express themselves in each other's love language, they will be more likely to enjoy a happier and fulfilling relationship.
Conversely, couples are more liklely to be disconnected, feel under-valued and even feeling unloved.
Making the effort to speak each other’s language, couples will be able to unlock increasingly profound levels of love, insha'Allah.

"Really, from the bottom of my heart, I feel humbled and honoured to learn from Brother Tafazal. Life needs a turning point when it becomes too painful, but it should never have got to that point. We need to learn strategies from real people and real stories to get to a better place." - Bilkis A
